NAWBO Boise Gala

This past fall I was nominated for “Business Woman of the Year – Up & Coming” with the National Association of Women Business Owners Boise Chapter. Christine Nicholas, one of my clients, nominated me and I was very honored to have made the finalists for my category. This past Saturday the NAWBO had a Gala celebration for all the finalist & to announce the winners. I didn’t get the top honors but was very happy for the winner & for the honor to be nominated.

I have come a long way since starting my business in 2004 photographing horse shows on the weekends while working a full time job to it being a full time portrait business specializing in equine photography.  I want to thank all my clients from over the years because if it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be here!  I will say that it was a great experience to sit down and write down all the accomplishments I have made over the years.  You don’t realize how much progress you made until you sit down & really look at your accomplishments.  I have been taking the time this winter to look at how I want my business to look for the next 5 years.  I am planning some upgrades to my website in the next couple of weeks along with announcing new products & marketing material in the next month or two.  Stay tuned for more news, updates & new products!

Ben & I had a great time at the event!  Here are a few pictures of the night. It was a black tie optional event so Ben & I got dressed up. You don’t get a chance very often to get dressed up in Boise so we take advantage of it when we have the opportunity!
