Bald Eagle Days

Last month I went to the Bald Eagle Days at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival/Barber Pools site.  It is held the last weekend on January every year.  We didn’t get to see the Bald Eagle, apparently she is really shy and will only come out of her box for a couple of minutes at a time.  We did get to see many other types of Birds of Prey, such as a golden eagle, great horned owls, a burrowing owl, a few different types of hawks along with a few hybrid birds bred for falconry.  Many of the areas falconers brought their birds out and were happy to answer questions regarding the birds and the sport of falconry.  I highly recommend attending this event next year!

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the afternoon.  Enjoy!!
